The DeSoto Story (Summary)

• 1925 - The Chrysler Corporation was founded. This was the successor to the Maxwell Motor Corp..

• 1926 - Walter Chrysler wanted to buy Dodge without success.

• 1928 - The DeSoto motor vehicle was announced. The first year sales set a record that stood for thirty years with 65,000 units being sold.

• 1961 - 1961 The last DeSoto cars were sold.
